What distinguishes us most is our enthusiasm for the development of a uniquely Christian worldview where Christ’s Lordship is honored and lived out in relevant ways in the midst of our highly secularized, post-modern culture. We offer quality books for the sake of faithful Christian living. We serve business folk, scientists, artists, college students, moms, dads (and kids!), pastors, poets and politicos. We believe Biblical faith leads to "thinking Christianly" about every area of life.

We can offer helpful suggestions in all sorts of areas (especially about the coolest contemporary Christian music and Celtic tunes!) Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Since 1982
What is your primary product or service?
We are a full-service independent bookstore with an emphasis on Christian books. We are one of the best-stocked faith-based bookstores on the East Coast.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We -- Byron and Beth Borger --used to work for a Presbyterian church in Pittsburgh, for an evangelical campus ministry organization working with college students, and for a while the Thomas Merton Center in Pittsburgh. We used books as resources in our work with others and in social change activism through the Merton Center. So we valued using books for personal, congregational, and public transformation. Books help people.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We carry a very, very wide variety of faith-based books, and other books, too. Most bookstores are either fully secular or fully religious and few booksellers care about the printed page as we do. We know literature and we offer extraordinary customer service.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We only have one bricks and mortar location -- 234 East Main Street, Dallastown, 17313 -- but a good bit of our business is conducted on line. I do a book review newsletter called BookNotes that is read all over the world (including by some prominent publishers and authors in the book industry.) We set up book displays at events and conferences off-site (usually in the Mid-Atlantic area) but we have traveled to set up off site book displays as far away as Texas and Chicago.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We on on main street in Dallastown, which is also known as Rt 74, directly across the street from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash, all typical credit cards, and we often bill institutions, organizations, churches, nonprofits so they can pay later.
Which areas do you service?
We mail books almost anywhere in the world.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Beth and Byron Borger
What are your hours of operation?
Monday - Thursday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Friday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
We are closed on Sunday. We have extended evening hours during the Advent/Christmas season.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
We routinely get very moving notes about how we have helped people find the right book or how a book I reviewed at BookNotes convinced them to read more.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
There are so many...
